Step 1: Combine ketchup, brown sugar, onion, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco with 1/4 cup water, 1/2 teaspoon salt and garlic powder in saucepan. Simmer gently 10 minutes.
Step 2: Season ribs with salt and pepper. Arrange fat side down of ribs in shallow baking pan. Brush with about 1/2 cup of sauce.
Step 3: Place in hot oven, 400°F, to brown (about 35 to 40 minutes). Baste ribs with sauce 2 or 3 times during browning.
Step 4: When ribs are brown, brush with remaining sauce and add 1/4 cup water to the pan. Cover tightly - return to oven and bake until tender; about 1 hour.
