Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 6 ounces fresh blackberries (red raspberries can be substituted)
  • 1/2 jalapeno pepper, seeds and ribs removed and diced
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup oil (olive oil)
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Vinaigrette ... Simply add all the ingredients, except the olive oil, to a small food processor, and pulse until you have a smooth consistency. Slowly add the oil, with processor on low speed, until the dressing is creamy. Season with salt and pepper if necessary. Done.

  • Step 2: I love to store in a mason jar; but, a bowl, ziploc, or tupperware container work just as well. Can store up to 5 days. I usually make, just what I plan to use.

  • Step 3: Serve and ENJOY ... As mentioned; serve over soft greens, onions, cucumber, fresh blackberries - and, maybe walnuts and goat cheese. Try my "Chicken Salad with a Blackberry Vinaigrette," Recipezazz Recipe # . As mentioned, I have made this with red raspberries as well; equally as good - but, I prefer the black when in season.
