  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon cream of tarter
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oven to 400 degrees.

  • Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and 1-1/2 cups of sugar until fluffy and light.

  • Step 3: Add the vanilla and eggs; beat well.

  • Step 4: Add the flour, cocoa,cream of tarter, baking soda and salt. Mix throughly.

  • Step 5: In a small bowl, mix together the 2 Tablespoons of sugar and cinnamon.

  • Step 6: Roll cookie dough into 1-inch balls and then roll them in the sugar-cinnamon mixture.

  • Step 7: Set cookie dough balls about 2-inches apart onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

  • Step 8: Bake at 400 degrees for 6-9 minutes.

  • Step 9: After done baking, remove cookies from the cookie sheet immediately, and cool on a cookie rack.
