  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 4 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 4 teaspoons gingerroot, minced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast (cubed)cubed
  • 3 cups broccoli florets

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, ginger, garlic and red pepper flakes in a medium bowl.

  • Step 2: Remove 3 tablespoons of this mixture and set aside for basting.

  • Step 3: Add chicken to mixture and toss to coat.

  • Step 4: Thread onto metal skewers with broccoli.

  • Step 5: Grill, covered, over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink, turning occasionally.

  • Step 6: Baste with reserved soy mixture in the last 4 minutes of cooking time.
