Step 1: Chicken Part: Place ingredients in pan and stir to combine. Cover with lid and cook on top of stove at medium temperature for approximately 40 minutes or until the onions are tender and translucent. Stir occasionally.

Step 5: Dip a teaspoon (like you would set the table with) into the boiling broth. The broth keeps the dough from sticking to the spoon. Drop teaspoons of dough into boiling broth. Reduce heat to medium low, cover pan and cook for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 6: If you are in a big hurry get 2 cans of cheap biscuits, cut each biscuit in fourths, drop them in broth and follow instructions above.

Step 9: For a change try frozen egg noodles instead of the dumplings. Mom loves this over mashed potatoes. Really good comfort food.
Step 10: You can also use the lower sodium chicken broth in place of the regular.
