Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/3 cup sweet onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Chili powder
  • 1 can (10 1/2 ounce) condensed beefy mushroom soup (Campbell's)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 can (14.5 ounce) chili ready diced tomatoes (drained)
  • 1 can (15 ounce) kidney beans (rinsed and drained)
  • 3/4 cup dry instant white rice
  • 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded (since I'm a cheese addict,I would use more)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook beef,onion, and chili powder in a 10 inch skillet over medium heat until beef is well browned and onion is softened.

  • Step 2: Drain and return meat to skillet.

  • Step 3: Then add soup,water,tomatoes,and beans and bring to a boil.

  • Step 4: Reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 10 minutes.

  • Step 5: Remove from heat and stir in rice,then cover and let sit for 5 minutes.

  • Step 6: Sprinkle with cheese and serve with tortilla chips.
