Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 1/4 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 cup dry brown rice
  • 2 green onions (white and green parts, chopped)
  • 1 to 2 cloves garlic (pushed through garlic press)
  • 1 tablespoon butter

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place the rice, onions, garlic and butter in a 9 inch round casserole dish.

  • Step 2: Bring the broth to a boil and pour over the rice mixture.

  • Step 3: Stir and cover with a tight fitting lid or a couple of layers of foil.

  • Step 4: Cook for 50 to 60 minutes in a preheated 375 degree Fahrenheit oven. Start checking the rice the 50 minute mark to make sure it will not be overdone. Give it a shake to make sure it’s not sticking.

  • Step 5: Remove from oven, fluff with a fork and serve.
