  • 1 1/4 pounds pork chops (bone-in pork chops, 4 chops)
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour (mixed with your favorite dry spices)
  • 1 cup picante sauce (or a little more)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large apple (peeled then 1/2-inch diced)
  • 2 tablespoons oil (olive oil)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Coat the pork chops with the flour-spice mix.

  • Step 2: Stir the picante sauce, brown sugar and apple in a medium bowl.

  • Step 3: Heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork and cook for 10 minutes or until well browned on both sides. Pour off any fat.

  • Step 4: Pour the picante sauce mixture over the pork. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 20 minutes or until the pork is cooked through.
