Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • Crushed red pepper flakes (1 pinch, or a couple, if you're adventurous)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Chopped clams, (with juice, 4 cans)
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 4 tablespoons shredded parmesan cheese (and more for garnish)
  • 1 pound dry linguine pasta (or thin spaghetti, it's okay to choose your favorite)noodle!)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Boil water in a large dutch oven, and cook pasta until al dente.

  • Step 2: While that's going on, melt the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  • Step 3: Sautee the onion and garlic, adding the pepper flakes after 5 minutes. Add lemon juice, oregano, basil, and Old Bay.

  • Step 4: Stir for a minute or so, then add the clams with juice and simmer for 5 minutes.

  • Step 5: Add the 4 Tbsp. of parmesan to the sauce to slightly thicken and flavor.

  • Step 6: Drain the pasta and place in a large bowl. Pour the sauce over, toss, and top with parsley and more parmesan.
