Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 pound Italian sausage (mix to liking between sweet & hot)
  • 1 yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 35 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 ounce) white kidney beans
  • 1 1/2 cups tomato juice
  • 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • 1/2 pounds pepperoni, sliced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • Italian Cheese

How to Make

  • Step 1: Remove sausage from casing, brown & drain.

  • Step 2: Add onion, pepper, celery – cook until soft, add garlic & cook for 1 minute.

  • Step 3: Add sausage, vegetables & rest of ingredients (Not Cheese) into crockpot.

  • Step 4: Cook on low 4 – 6 hours.

  • Step 5: Sprinkle cheese over ladled chili.

  • Step 6: Serve with Chianti (most important step of all!).
