  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 3 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 1 cup raisins

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

  • Step 2: Beat together butter, applesauce and sugars until creamy.

  • Step 3: Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.

  • Step 4: Add baking soda, cinnamon, salt, and flour; beat well.

  • Step 5: Add in oats and beat. Stir in raisins and distribute well.

  • Step 6: Using a small 2 tablespoon ice cream scoop, drop onto cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

  • Step 7: Bake in preheated oven 12-14 minutes.

  • Step 8: Cool for about 2-3 minutes, then remove to wire cooling rack.

  • Step 9: For even lower fat, you could probably use egg substitutes.

  • Step 10: Each cookie has 113 calories, less than 2 grams fat, and for those watching their sodium content, 94.28 mg sodium each.
