Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 pound dry navy beans
  • 8 ounces cooked ham, diced
  • 7 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups cabbage, chopped
  • 1 cup ham drippings
  • 1 cup pasta sauce
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 carrot, peeled and sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp fresh ground black pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place beans in a large pot of water and bring to a boil.

  • Step 2: Remove from heat, set aside and soak overnight.

  • Step 3: Drain and rinse the beans and place in the crock-pot.

  • Step 4: Add water and the remaining ingredients, cover and cook on high for 6 hours.

  • Step 5: Serve.
