Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • CINNAMON FILLING
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • GLAZE
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oven to 350 degrees F.

  • Step 2: Spray or grease bottom only of a 9x13 inch baking pan with cooking spray.

  • Step 3: Line pan with parchment paper for easy removal.

  • Step 4: In small bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Set aside.

  • Step 5: In a large mixer beat butter, on high speed, until creamy.

  • Step 6: Beat in sugars.

  • Step 7: Gradually beat in eggs and vanilla, until combined.

  • Step 8: On low speed, beat in dry ingredients until combined.

  • Step 9: Spoon half the batter into pan, and spread evenly.

  • Step 10: Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over batter.

  • Step 11: Dollop teaspoon size amounts of remaining batter evenly over cinnamon-sugar mixture.

  • Step 12: Bake 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

  • Step 13: Cool completely, about 1 hour.

  • Step 14: In small bowl, stir glaze ingredients until smooth and thin enough to drizzle.

  • Step 15: Remove cooled bars from pan using the parchment paper as handles, cut into 12 bars.

  • Step 16: Drizzle glaze over bars, and allow to dry a little before serving.
