  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 7 1/2 ounces Creme Fraiche
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 7 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • Pastry shell, 9-inch (prebaked)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Lightly whip egg yolk with the Crème Fraiche. Set aside

  • Step 2: Bring milk to a boil, stirring continuously. Turn off heat and add chocolate. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted.

  • Step 3: Slowly add egg and Crème Fraiche mixture to the chocolate mixture and stir until thoroughly combined.

  • Step 4: Pour mixture into the pastry shell and bake for 25 minutes.

  • Step 5: Remove tart from oven and cool to room temperature. Chill in refrigerator for at least one hour before serving. Great with a dollop of whipped cream (optional)
