  • 1 3/4 cups cups confectioners' sugar, sifted
  • 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups cornstarch
  • 25 candied red cherries, halved
  • 25 candied green cherries, halved

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large bowl beat the butter and confectioners' sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually add flour and cornstarch, beating until well blended.

  • Step 2: With hands lightly dusted with additional cornstarch, roll dough into 1-inch round balls.

  • Step 3: Place balls onto an ungreased baking sheets spacing 1-inch apart. Press lightly with a floured fork. Top each dough with a cherry halve.

  • Step 4: Bake at 300° for 20-22 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned.

  • Step 5: Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks.
