Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise (no Miracle Whip or salad dressing)
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons milk (to thin out the dressing)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (I often add half sugar, and half honey)
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons poppy seeds
  • 1/2 to 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard, optional
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Dressing ... Mix everything together in a small bowl or ziploc/tupperware type of container, and refrigerate until ready to use. It is best if it sets a few hours before serving - but, not necessary.

  • Step 2: As mentioned, you can also use half mayonnaise and half yogurt; which makes it a bit lighter. And, I often use half sugar and half honey; which is another way to change up the flavor. It really is up to you, as to how sweet you like the dressing. This is also great as a dip for fruit. And, I love to drizzle this dressing over fruit skewers.
