Step 1: Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Step 2: Grease 24 muffin tins.
Step 3: Mix cereal and water then set aside until all liquid is absorbed.
Step 4: Combine cereal/water mixture with egg whites, applesauce and vanilla.
Step 5: In a bowl combine all 6 dry ingredients. Stir in wet ingredients. Mix with a large spoon until combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
Step 6: Divide among 24 muffin cups.
Step 7: Bake 18-20 minutes.
