  • 1 can (15 ounce) chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 6 tablespoons plain Greek-style yogurt
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons oil (extra virgin olive oil)
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Moroccan seasoning

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place chickpeas in food processor along with the yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, and Moroccan seasoning. Season with salt and pepper. Puree until smooth.

  • Step 2: Adjust seasoning to your taste, if needed.

  • Step 3: COVER and chill for at least an hour until ready to serve. Makes 1 1/2 cups.

  • Step 4: Serve with pita chips or carrot sticks for dipping. You can also use it as a spread in a veggie wrap.
