  • 1/2 cup crushed pineapple (canned)
  • 1/3 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (dissolved in 1 tsp. water)
  • 1 to 2 dashes Orange bitters (I prefer Fee Brothers)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine pineapple, pineapple juice, sugar and corn syrup in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to medium. Cook, stirring, until reduced to about a cup (about 5 minutes)

  • Step 2: Stir in the dissolved cornstarch and stir until slightly thickened. Add the bitters and stir to combine.

  • Step 3: Cool, place in a sealable container, and keep refrigerated.
