  • 2 jalapeno peppers
  • 2 cups tequila (white)
  • 1 cup fresh lime juice ( about 16 limes)
  • 1/2 cup agave nectar

How to Make

  • Step 1: Roast jalapenos over gas flame or under broiler until soft and charred. Stem and chop chilies.

  • Step 2: Place chilies and seeds into a jar. Add tequila and let sit 1 hour. Strain through fine mesh sieve and discard solids.

  • Step 3: Stir in lime juice, agave nectar and 2 cups ice.

  • Step 4: Let stand, stirring occasionally, until ice is melted.

  • Step 5: Divide among 8 chilled gimlet glasses.
