Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F.
Step 2: Split hens in half. Rinse and pat dry.
Step 3: Brush skin side with melted butter, then season with salt and pepper
Step 4: Place skin sides up in greased 13x2-inch baking dish.
Step 5: Arrange carrots around hen.
Step 6: In 1-quart saucepan, cook apple jelly with butter, salt and marjoram over low heat 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly, until warm. Brush half of sauce over hen and carrots. Cover with foil.
Step 7: Bake 40 minutes. Uncover; brush with remaining sauce, bake 20 minutes longer, brushing with pan juices once or twice or until hen is fork tender.
