Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 package (18 1/2 ounce) spice cake mix (Duncan Hines® Moist Deluxe® Spice Cake Mix)
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar (optional)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup oil (vegetable oil)
  • 1/3 cup 7-Up (not the diet or can use water)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 bananas, mashed (use very ripe bananas, about 3 large)
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • Vanilla glaze (to drizzle over top)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350° F.

  • Step 2: Spray a 9x5-inch loaf pan with no-stick cooking spray.

  • Step 3: Blend cake mix, sugar, eggs, oil, 7-Up or water, sour cream and mashed bananas in large bowl at low speed until moistened [about 30 seconds]. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.

  • Step 4: Fold in walnuts.

  • Step 5: Pour into loaf pan.

  • Step 6: Bake for 45-50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on rack 15 minutes and remove from pan. Cool completely.

  • Step 7: Drizzle prepared vanilla glaze over the top.
