  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup coffee
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon chili peppers
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cup barbecue sauce

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place all ingredients except the BBQ sauce in a plastic bag with the ribs and let sit in the refrigerator overnight.

  • Step 2: Remove the ribs, reserve 1 cup of the liquid, and mix it with 1 1/2 cups of BBQ sauce; set aside.

  • Step 3: Place ribs on a baking sheet, bone side down, and bake in a 375-degree Fahrenheit oven for 25 minutes.

  • Step 4: Remove from the oven and place the ribs and sauce mixture into the crock pot, and mix well.

  • Step 5: Cook on low for 4 hours.
