Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 lemon slices
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 2 cups fresh orange juice
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 6 cups dry red wine
  • 1 cup dry sherry
  • 2 lemons, sliced, for garnish

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine sugar, cinnamon sticks, 3 lemon slices, and water in a stainless-steel stockpot. Bring to a boil and cook about 5 minutes.

  • Step 2: Strain the sugar syrup into a bowl and set aside. Discard cinnamon sticks and lemon slices.

  • Step 3: Add remaining ingredients (except lemon slices) to the same pot and bring to a simmer over medium heat. DO NOT BOIL.

  • Step 4: Add the sugar syrup and stir.

  • Step 5: Serve hot in mugs, garnished with lemon slices.
