Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 chicken breasts (bone in, skin on)
  • 1 cup beer (plus 2 tablespoons beer, divided)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce (plus 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce, divided)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place the chicken in a large re-sealable freezer bag.

  • Step 2: Add 1 cup beer, salt, brown sugar and garlic powder to the bag and swish together; marinate in the refrigerator overnight.

  • Step 3: Remove the chicken from marinade and rinse well.

  • Step 4: Pat dry and set aside.

  • Step 5: Mix together 1/4 cup BBQ sauce and 2 tablespoons beer and slather over chicken pieces (I toss all this together in a plastic bag).

  • Step 6: Place the chicken pieces in the smoker and smoke for 2 1/2 hours at 250 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Step 7: Take the chicken out of the smoker and brush with 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce.

  • Step 8: Enjoy!
