Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons butter (or margarine)
  • 1 ounce ranch salad dressing mix (one 1 ounce/28 gram package, I used Hidden Valley)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Instant potato flakes(one 180 gram box Betty Crocker Homestyle Mashed Potatoes)
  • 6 bacon slices (cooked and crumbled)
  • 1 to 2 green onions, diced

How to Make

  • Step 1: In 3-quart saucepan, heat milk, water and butter to boiling. Stir in ranch dressing mix and sour cream; whisk until smooth.

  • Step 2: Stir in half of the bacon and both pouches of potatoes just until moistened; let stand 1 minute. Stir with fork until smooth.

  • Step 3: Spoon potatoes into serving dish. Top with remaining crumbled bacon and the green onions.
