Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 6 pounds ham, cooked (one 6 pound ham)
  • 15 ounces pineapple rings
  • 2 ounces maraschino cherries (optional, one bottle)
  • 1 cup water
  • GLAZE
  • 8 ounces orange marmalade
  • 6 ounce Amaretto (or almond/cherry liqueur)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix the glaze ingredients together and let sit while you're getting the charcoal ready.

  • Step 2: Place the ham on a rack in a deep 12 -14" Dutch oven along with juices from the cherries and pineapple and the water.

  • Step 3: Brush the ham with the glaze and any other seasoning you wish to add.

  • Step 4: Place pineapple rings on the ham with a maraschino cherry in the center of each ring, if desired.

  • Step 5: Use toothpicks to secure pineapple rings and cherries to ham, if needed.

  • Step 6: Set the DO over 8-10 briquets underneath and 12-14 around the outside of the lid and cook for an hour.

  • Step 7: Brush ham with the remaining glaze 2-3 times during cooking.
