Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • Fresh ground black pepper and garlic powder (use a much as desired (do not season the beef with any salt)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 large garlic cloves, minced (garlic lovers can use more)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
  • 1 (10-3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup, undiluted
  • 1 (10-3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 1 (6-ounce) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 1 cup sour cream

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat (use enough oil to coat the bottom of the skillet adding in more if needed).

  • Step 2: Season the beef cubes with pepper and garlic powder.

  • Step 3: Add to the skillet and brown on all sides; transfer to the crockpot.

  • Step 4: To the skillet add in onion and saute for about 3 minutes.

  • Step 5: Add in garlic and cayenne; cook stirring for 1 minute.

  • Step 6: Stir in both cans of soup, mushrooms and dry onion soup mix; bring to a simmer until bubbly and well combined.

  • Step 7: Pour over the beef in the crockpot then toss to to combine with the beef.

  • Step 8: Cover and cook on low for about 6-7 hours or until beef is tender.

  • Step 9: Stir in the sour cream and heat through, serve over cooked noodles
