Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 32 ounces sauerkraut (rinsed and drained)
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 4 teaspoons dried parsley, crushed
  • 2 teaspoons caraway seed
  • 1 pound Swiss cheese, shredded (4 cups)
  • Thousand Island Dressing (1 1/2 cups)
  • Corned beef (12 ounces deli cooked thin sliced, chop the slices)
  • Rye bread (6 to 8 slices, cut into 3/4-inch cubes or smaller, if you use 8 slices you may need a bit more melted butter)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted (or margarine melted)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375F.

  • Step 2: In a large bowl combine the sauerkraut, chopped onion, dried parsley and caraway seeds. Spread the mixture into a greased 13 x 9inch baking dish. Top with half of the Swiss cheese, then half of the salad dressing, the all of the chopped corned beef. Top with remaining salad dressing then the cheese.

  • Step 3: In a large bowl toss the bread cubes with melted butter. Sprinkle over the top.

  • Step 4: Bake uncovered about 35 minutes or until heated and bread cubes are browned.

  • Step 5: Serve-SO delicious!
