Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour (can use white spelt)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup oil (olive oil)
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 4 1/2 tablespoons ice water

How to Make

  • Step 1: Add flour and salt to mixing bowl.

  • Step 2: Add oil and mix well with a fork.

  • Step 3: Sprinkle cold water over mixture and mix well.

  • Step 4: Using hands, press mixture into a smooth ball. (If mix is too dry, add 1-2 tablespoons more oil, a little at a time and then shape into a ball.)

  • Step 5: Divide ball in half.

  • Step 6: At this point you can either put it in the fridge to firm up for about 10 minutes or roll out between wax paper or on a well floured surface.

  • Step 7: Place in pie plate. Fill, top with crust and bake as desired.
