Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • Vegan double pie crust (posted separately here on this site #10263)
  • CHERRY FILLING
  • 5 cups fresh pitted cherries
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup vegan sugar (such as bone-char-free sugar, if you are vegan you will know what vegan sugar is)
  • 2 tablespoons vegan butter (such as Earth Balance)
  • Almond milk and vegan sugar (for the top of crust)
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Toss the pitted cherries with the next 3 ingredients together. Pour into prepared pie shell, dot with vegan butter.

  • Step 2: Place the top pie crust on and pinch edges to seal. Cut 4 small slits to vent pie.

  • Step 3: Brush with almond milk and sprinkle with sugar.

  • Step 4: Place the pie on a large baking sheet to catch any spills.

  • Step 5: Bake bottom oven rack in a preheated 400 degrees F oven for 50-60 minutes or until crust is golden and filling is bubbling (you may need to add foil to the edges if its browning to quickly).

  • Step 6: Cool to room temperature before slicing. Enjoy!
