Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • Chocolate cake mix (one Duncan Hines 18.25 ounce box)
  • 1/2 butter, room temperature
  • 1 egg
  • Butter crackers (salted, you can use mini or regular size)
  • Rolo Minis (three 8-ounce packages, or two king size packages)
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  • Step 2: Line a 7x11-inch baking pan with foil and coat with cooking spray (or an 9x9 or 8x8 inch)

  • Step 3: In a large bowl combine cake mix, butter and egg with your hand until a firm dough forms.

  • Step 4: Divide the dough in half and press one half into the bottom of the pan.

  • Step 5: Cover the bottom layer of cake with the butter crackers to make an even layer.

  • Step 6: Top with the Rolo Minis (can cut the minis in half before putting them on top of the crackers).

  • Step 7: With the other half of the dough carefully piece it together over the Rolos (it doesn’t have to be perfect, just try your best to cover it).

  • Step 8: Drizzle with the sweetened condensed milk.

  • Step 9: Bake 25-28 minutes until the top is golden brown.

  • Step 10: Remove from oven and let cool completely before cutting into.
