Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 head green cabbage (shredded)
  • 1/2 head red cabbage (finely shredded or 1 head radicchio for a more kicked-up flavor)
  • 1 onion (red onion, thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 cup vinegar (white or to zing up the flavor apple cider vinegar will be fine)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup oil (vegetable)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • Peppr (to taste)

How to Make

  • Step 1: I a large bowl toss the green cabbage, red cabbage, and red onion until mixed. Set aside.

  • Step 2: In a small saucepan combine the vinegar, honey, and oil. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Remove from the heat and stir in the salt, dry mustard, garlic powder and the celery seed. Pour the dressing over the cabbage. Toss to combine.

  • Step 3: Allow the coleslaw to cool a little then refrigerate until cold.

  • Step 4: Serve chilled.
