Step 1: Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add in onion; saute 3-4 minutes or until softened. Add in garlic, sage and cayenne,cook 1 minute. Stir in flour, nutritional yeast, and soy sauce, stir for 1 minute.
Step 2: Gradually whisk in the broth; Bring to a medium simmer. Reduce heat, and simmer whisking constantly for 8 to 10 minutes or until thickened.
Step 3: Season with salt and pepper to taste.
