Step 1: Sift flour, baking powder and salt together, and set aside.
Step 2: Beat shortening and eggs together until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well.
Step 3: Mix in dry ingredients.
Step 4: Divide dough into six portions. Leave one portion plain, and mix ingredients for one of the variations into each of the other portions.
Step 5: Shape each portion into a roll. Wrap each one in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour, or until firm.
Step 6: Preheat oven to 375° Fahrenheit.
Step 7: Unwrap dough and slice very thin. Bake on ungreased baking sheets for 10-12 minutes.
