Step 1: Arrange bread slices in a single layer in a buttered 9x13 inch baking dish, trimming to fit.
Step 2: In a large bowl whisk togethereggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and 1/2 cup of sugar.
Step 3: Pour evenly over bread.
Step 4: Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight.
Step 5: Just before baking, combine remaining sugar, pecans and melted butter.
Step 6: Spread berries over bread layer and top with pecan mixture.
Step 7: Bake in a pre-heated 400f oven for 35-40 OR unitl the bread is puffed and the fruit is bubbling.
Step 8: Serve warm with some maple syrup!
