Step 1: In a 2 quart sauce pan over medium heat, melt margarine.
Step 2: Add onion and ham, cook until onion is softened.
Step 3: Add lima beans and cover with enough water to barely cover beans(1 inch of water).
Step 4: Turn heat to low, cook until beans are tender, stirring occasionally(if using,add final Tablespoon of margarine @ this time).
