Step 1: In a large pan, saute onion and garlic in olive oil.
Step 2: Stir in oregano, thyme, cumin, and cayenne; cook 1 minute.
Step 3: Puree 1/2 of the black beans in a blender.
Step 4: Add puree, remaining beans, and broth to pan.
Step 5: Simmer for 15 minutes.
Step 6: Garnish with cilantr, parsley or crispy fried tortilla strips.
