Step 1: Potatoes ... Depending on how you decide to cook these. Add the potatoes to a small casserole dish, cast iron pan, or aluminum tin/pan. Then pour the cream over the top, and season with salt, pepper; finish with the fresh whole sprigs of herbs.
Step 2: Cooking ... On the grill, medium heat - they will take 20-25 minutes. Or in the oven at 425 degrees - they will take 15-20 minutes; and on the stove top, about the same as the grill 15-20 minutes on medium heat. The one thing nice about the grill is that they will get a nice smoky flavor. Just make sure to stir them often as they cook.
Step 3: Serve and ENJOY! ... Once the potatoes are tender and the cream has thickened and reduced; the potatoes are done. Remove the stems from the herbs and serve. You can always add diced bacon, cheese, or fresh herbs as a garnish; but, I prefer them as is. They are creamy and rich - and the perfect side dish.
