Step 1: Place meat and any gravy from the package in the bottom of the crock pot.
Step 2: Surround the roast with onion, carrots, celery, garlic, 1 cup of the broth, thyme and bay leaf; season with cracked black pepper.
Step 3: Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
Step 4: Stir together the remaining cup broth with te kitchen bouquet and corn starch.
Step 5: Lift roast out of the pan, stir in broth and return roast to the pan. Cook on high for thirty minutes, or until gravy thickens.
