Step 1: Pour the kernels into a brown paper bag, fold the top of the bag twice (about an inch or two of the bag) and set it upright on your microwave turntable.
Step 2: Set the timer for 2 minutes and listen to see if popping sounds slow down before the time is up to avoid burning the popcorn.
Step 3: Add salt to taste.
