Step 1: In a large bowl, dissolve the sugar in warm water, and then stir in yeast. Allow to proof until yeast resembles a creamy foam (if it does not foam then your water is too hot, throw away and try again).
Step 2: Mix salt and oil into the yeast.
Step 3: Mix in flour one cup at a time.
Step 4: Knead dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth.
Step 5: Place in a well oiled bowl, turn dough to coat.
Step 6: Cover with a damp cloth.
Step 7: Allow to rise until doubled in bulk about 1 hour.
Step 8: Ch dough down. Knead for a few minutes, and divide in half.
Step 9: Shape into 2 loaves then place into two well oiled 9x5 inch loaf pans.
Step 10: Allow to rise for 30 minutes or until dough has risen 1 inch above pans.
Step 11: Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes.
