Step 1: Mix rum and banana liqueur in small sauce pan and warm on low. Set aside.
Step 2: Melt butter and sugar in a nonstick frying pan large enough to hold all the bananas. A chafing dish can also be used if you plan to cook table side.
Step 3: Add bananas and saute just until tender. 2-3 minutes depending on ripeness of bananas. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
Step 4: Divide ice cream into serving dishes.
Step 5: BE VERY CAREFUL! Pour the rum mixture over the bananas and flame.
Step 6: Place bananas next to ice cream and top with warm liqueur sauce. Garnish with chopped pecans if you like.
