Step 1: In medium saucepan cook bacon until crisp.
Step 2: Add butter, onions and celery; cook until tender.
Step 3: Stir in flour and garlic powder and continue to cook until combined.
Step 4: Slowly pour in wine and gradually add chicken stock and milk; cook over low heat until smooth and slightly thickened.
Step 5: Season to your taste with salt and pepper.
Step 6: Pour soup into bowls and garnish with croutons
