Step 1: Measure your rice into a pot and cover it with water at least 1/2 inch above the rice
Step 2: Let it soak for at least an hour
Step 3: Drain, add fresh water, enough to cover it by 1/2 inch
Step 4: Bring rice to a boil, uncovered, simmer for approximately 7 minutes
Step 5: Keep checking until the kernals are perfect, may take a minute or two more
Step 6: Drain in a sieve and pour hot water through it
Step 7: Serve now or return it to the pot and keep warm on lowest temperature for up to 10 minutes
