Step 1: Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; cook, stirring occasionally, 1 to 2 minutes or until onion is tender, careful not to brown the garlic.
Step 2: Stir in flour. Gradually stir in evaporated milk and broth. Bring to a medium boil stirring constantly. Add sausage and beans; continue simmering covered on low for 20-30 minutes Season to taste with salt and ground black pepper.
