Step 1: Melt butter and add sugar and molasses. Boil until temperature reaches 270 degrees using a candy thermometer. If you are adding nuts, add them at this time.
Step 2: Remove from heat, and add the baking soda.
Step 3: Mix well, then pour over popcorn.
Step 4: Dip hands in a bowl of warm water, before making each ball. Shape balls using very little pressure.
Step 5: Lay balls on waxed paper, and let cool.
Step 6: Wrap each ball in saran wrap, or put each in a plastic baggie.
