Step 1: Brown cooked or uncooked meatballs in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat (uncooked meatballs do not have to be completely cooked they will finish cooking in sauce).
Step 2: In a bowl whisk or stir together ketchup and next 4 ingredients. Pour over meatballs. Bring to a medium simmer, reduce heat to low and simmer 30-40 minutes stirring occasionally (don't taste the sauce right away it will have a strong vinegar taste!). At the end of cooking season sauce wityh salt and pepper if you like.
