Step 1: In a nonstick skillet, saute bacon over medium heat until just browned.
Step 2: Using a paper towel, wipe up all the extra grease.
Step 3: Add onions to the pan and saute until soft and golden brown.
Step 4: Add the beans and enough broth to cover the beans.
Step 5: Season with a tablespoon of Tony Chachere’s.
Step 6: Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
Step 7: Uncover and let simmer until almost all the liquid has cooked off (about 15 minutes.)
Step 8: Add butter to the pan and taste for seasonings. If it seems salty enough, do not add more Tony’s. If it is not salty enough, add more Tony’s.
Step 9: Serve hot!
