Ingredients
- 1 cup milk, warm
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons shortening
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup bread flour
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped finely
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon yeast
How to Make

Step 1: The finer the nuts are chopped the more subtle their texture in the bread. Add nuts with the flour. Place all ingredients in bread machine pan in order of manufacturer's instruction.

Step 2: Set for wheat bread, light crust.

Step 3: Yield is one, 1 1/2 pound loaf.
